Sting and Shaggy is the musical mixture you did not know you wanted.
ET is completely premiering the duo’s music video for his or her new monitor, “Gotta Get Back My Baby,” in which they play cops occurring one final large journey on Sting’s final day of labor. Sting and Shaggy find yourself cruising round Miami in their boss’ Abarth Spider convertible in search of a good looking felony at a membership.
Later, Shaggy makes a hilarious reference to his hit, “It Wasn’t Me,” as their operation would not go as deliberate.
Sting says the inspiration for the video is the iconic TV sequence Miami Vice.
“It’s a funny, lighthearted video with a bit of action in it, and stunts,” he says in a behind-the-scenes interview.
Shaggy additionally explains their apparent chemistry.
“We’ve always been guys that make this global music, international music,” Shaggy says.
“It’s a wonderful collaboration — a surprising collaboration — and as we know, surprise is the most important thing,” Sting echoes.
