The Bangladesh selectors have recalled batsman Mosaddek Hossain to their T20 squad for the three-match sequence towards Afghanistan subsequent month. He final performed T20 internationals final 12 months in Sri Lanka, and that is his first senior call-up since being dropped after the primary Test towards Sri Lanka in February.
There was no place for batsman Imrul Kayes, pacer Taskin Ahmed and wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan from the squad that performed their earlier worldwide task: the Nidahas Trophy in March. Imrul and Nurul did not play a match in the match in Sri Lanka whereas Taskin was beneath par.
Batsman Soumya Sarkar, who made simply 50 runs in 5 innings in the Nidahas Trophy, and seamers Abu Jayed – who did not get a recreation in the Nidahas Trophy – and Abu Hider – who did not have an effect in the one recreation he performed – have been retained.
“We also had a question about Soumya but the captain [Shakib Al Hasan] and coach [Courtney Walsh] thought that it would be better to add him,” chief selector Minhajul Abedin stated.
Bangladesh play Afghanistan on June three, 5 and seven in Dehradun, in what’s the groups’ first-ever bilateral T20 match-up.
