KARACHI: At least one woman was killed in a visitors accident Wednesday evening on Natha Khan bridge right here on the town’s Shahrah-e-Faisal, Geo News reported, citing rescue and safety authorities.
The woman died shortly after a dumper truck rammed into the bike she was driving, rescue sources stated, with police including that her husband and little one had been protected.
According to cops on the scene, the accident occurred when the deceased woman’s burqa (veil) grew to become stuck in the bike’s chain, yanking her again on the tarmac and proper in entrance of the dashing dumper truck, which, subsequently, crushed her.
Following the crash, the motive force fled the scene however the truck’s ‘cleaner’ was arrested. Further, enraged individuals, together with bystanders, set the truck on hearth, rescue sources added.
