KARACHI: Director General Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Tuesday denied using a plane of the nationwide provider, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), for a private tour of Nanga Parbat.
“I went for an air safari on the invitation of PIA CEO,” he upheld including that the nationwide provider instructed him that they’re beginning an air safari and thus needed to ask him.
“I have nothing to do with the plane being taken for an air safari,” the DG CAA mentioned whereas chatting with Geo News by way of phone.
“None of my friends were on board the plane,” he clarified.

However, Tajwar mentioned, “May be the message was not handed on to passengers as a result of miscommunication.”
“We apologise to passengers for the delay,” the PIA spokesperson mentioned.
Responding to a query relating to the demand for refund raised for protesting passengers, Tajwar mentioned, “Passengers are solely compensated when flights are cancelled.”
PIA did not compensate regardless of promise: passenger
A passenger, whose video went viral as she lashed out at DG CAA at Skardu airport over the delay within the PIA flight, instructed Geo News that the airline didn’t compensate them regardless of promising to.
“PIA’s chief industrial officer promised us that our ticket cash can be refunded owing to the delay,” she mentioned.
“However, the chief industrial officer disappeared quickly after touchdown in Islamabad,” she added.
